Terminology

It seems that quite a bit of electronics terminology, especially regarding communication, is a carry-over from radio days, which is in turn a carry-over from Morse code abbreviations. See things like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Q_code, https://morsecode.ninja/reference/, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prosigns_for_Morse_code, and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Procedure_word for reference. This makes TX and RX make A BIT more sense, and I'm sure that I'll dig up other examples with time.

Also, ASCII standards evolved out of Telegraph codes.

Randomly, Digikey search for common resistors: https://punchout.digikey.com/en/products/filter/through-hole-resistors/53?s=N4IgjCBcoExaBjKAzAhgGwM4FMA0IB7KAbXADYBWAFgGYQBdfABwBcoQBlFgJwEsA7AOYgAvvjBl4IJJDRY8hEiBpgA7GACcABgbM2kTjwHCxIKpOjSUGHPiKRSGiat0hW7LnyGjxqqlJk5W0UHZRhKGjhGN31DLxN8AFoNAKgeAFcFe1IIelNEuEsZDKylCgZ8iCLreTslVRoADgqk8urZG1LQqJFTNtAmKDBmQcgwLS1TC1BeABN2GC1G8r12AFV%2BXhYAeWQAWWxUTHTubBB8AEcWAE92c5AbpjODI6ReoA
